AFRICA BY RADIO PRAYER LETTER, OCTOBER 2011

Dear friends

It is a privilege to bring these prayer requests to you. Once again we have the opportunity to pray for our brothers and sisters facing challenges in their broadcast ministries. We also have the opportunity to pray for opportunities to minister to towns and people that need to hear the Gospel.

An item of praise is for the very successful AbR Continental Convention held in Ghana in September, 2011. 94 people attended the convention from 19 African nations and 5 overseas nations. The speakers provided some excellent talks and workshops covering topics from new media to reaching children in the 4/14 window. These are children between the ages of 4 and 14 years, years in which children are most receptive to the Gospel.

Do pray that the information delegates received will help them in their ministries and that that will result in many people hearing the Gospel, especially children. A special focus of the convention and a prayer request is that God will provide more opportunities for radio, churches and mission organisations to share strengths and partner together to see Africa won for Christ. The next AbR regional meeting is scheduled for 21-24 March 2012 in Antananarivo, Madagascar. Please pray for successful meetings and that God will provide so that as many radio, church leaders and missionaries as possible will attend and that our work and discussions will extend His Kingdom.

AFRICA BY RADIO PRAYER LETTER APRIL 2010

Dear Friends

In Ephesians 6 v 19 Paul writes, “Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth words may be given to me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the Gospel”. Paul requested prayer to help him in ministry; here today we find prayer requests from our brothers and sisters in ministry. Thank you for bringing their ministries and needs before the Lord so that He will strengthen and help them as they make known the mystery of the Gospel to those who do not, yet, understand it. We pray for you, too, that God will bless you with his provision, wisdom and understanding as you also proclaim the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Dans Ephesians 6 v 19 Paul écrivent, « prient également pour moi, que toutes les fois que je m'ouvre mes mots de bouche peuvent m'être donnés de sorte que je fasse connaître courageusement le mystère de l'evangile ». Paul a invité la prière pour l'aider au ministère ; ici aujourd'hui nous trouvons des demandes de prière de nos frères et soeurs au ministère. Merci d'apporter leurs ministères et besoins avant le seigneur de sorte qu'il les renforce et aide comme ils font connaître le mystère de l'evangile à ceux qui pas, pourtant, le comprendre. Nous prions pour toi, aussi, que Dieu vous béniront avec sa disposition, la sagesse et l'arrangement comme vous proclamez également l'evangile de notre seigneur Jésus le Christ.

We, members of the Church of Jesus Christ, from more than 150 nations, participants in the International Congress on World Evangelization at Lausanne, praise God for his great salvation and rejoice in the fellowship he has given us with himself and with each other. We are deeply stirred by what God is doing in our day, moved to penitence by our failures and challenged by the unfinished task of evangelization. We believe the Gospel is God's good news for the whole world, and we are determined by his grace to obey Christ's commission to proclaim it to all mankind and to make disciples of every nation. We desire, therefore, to affirm our faith and our resolve, and to make public our covenant.
