The judges reported that it had been hard to select one recipient from amongst the excellent entries received, however, the work Voix de L’Esperance is engaged in to reach children and their incorporation of children as presenters in the station’s programming proved very relevant to the current need in Africa, where nearly 50% of the population are children.”  The recipient of the award,  Frederic Doumdingao, Manager at Voice of Hope, had this to say, “I am so grateful to the Lord who allowed me to attend the continental conference of ABR. It's was a great privilege for me to be there and listening to the heart of men and women of God who are labouring in their various countries to bring, by their programme’s, light and salvation to people of Africa”.
